The Bohemian Restaurant in Holmes Beach represents a complete renovation and transformation of an existing building on Anna Maria Island. Originally built as a small drug store and later converted into a restaurant, the structure has been reimagined by Halflants + Pichette as a contemporary dining destination that reflects the relaxed character of the island. The project combines interior renovation with expanded outdoor dining areas, bringing together modern design and coastal atmosphere in equal measure.
The reconfiguration extends the dining experience beyond the building. Shaded and open-air gathering spaces flow naturally from the interior to the surrounding tropical landscape, capturing the essence of Anna Maria Island living. Materials and finishes were chosen for durability and warmth, creating an inviting environment that connects guests to both the architecture and the setting.
