The design balances openness and seclusion, allowing the home to feel connected to its surroundings while remaining protected from view. Each part of the home is positioned to respond to Sarasota’s subtropical climate. The courtyard opens to the south for warmth and light, while broad overhangs provide shade throughout the day. A continuous indoor-outdoor connection reinforces the sense of flow, with large glass openings framing views of greenery and sky. From the entry, a grated metal bridge extends this line through the courtyard, reinforcing visual and spatial continuity.
