Zachary Yarnell earned his Master of Architecture from the University of South Florida’s School of Architecture + Community Design, where he studied under Michael Halflants in multiple studios and electives. Since graduating in 2016, he has worked at Bacon Group Inc. in Clearwater and Behar Peteranecz Architecture in St. Petersburg, contributing to projects ranging from animal facilities to hotels.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Zachary is committed to ensuring that the passion embedded in a project’s conceptual design is carried through every stage of development. He believes that the beauty shown in a rendering is a starting point—not a high point—and strives to ensure the completed building reflects and reinforces the design vision established at the outset.
Having lived in downtown St. Petersburg during a time of significant change, Zachary has seen firsthand how development shapes a city. This experience has instilled in him a desire to ensure that his projects contribute meaningfully to the communities they inhabit, rather than simply towering over them.
