PERFORMANCE EYECARE
The optician’s office was designed as a simple open space to showcase the glasses on display. A large, folded wood surface covering the ceiling and a side wall gives the small space a greater dimension. The existing plan was simplified to reduce the amount of circulation. The lighting and architectural design were kept simple to bring attention to the merchandise. The wood at the base of the reception desk tied the design together. The existing plan was simplified to reduce the circulation and dedicate as much of the space to the patients of the small clinic. The budget for the design-build renovation was stretched to the maximum effect. The architects opted for the seamless concrete topping to contrast with the ceiling assembly.
